Sure it doesn't prevent anything if people put their minds to it but it's nice to have more options than necessary. Torchlight 2 supports completely offline LAN play (that's how I play it) so wouldn't drag Grim Dawn's superior to Diablo 3 model down & the anti-cheat doesn't interfere with save scumming (which I have done some on cause the enchanters are so very random & the game did not complain) & gives the game a simple way to let players know if something is 'intended' or not. I would like to see such a simple method such as what Torchlight 2 used as a simple, toggle-able option for those hosting a game. even bloody stinking EA's 4, 5? layers on Battlefield 4. I haven't see an anti-cheat that works 100% anyways. Mentioned in the topic is the fact that Torchlight 2's anti-cheat was defeated with in a week. However a dev unwisely locked it stopping all further comment & since I just read it last night & want to comment. There was a topic about including an anti-cheat so that some guy could tell if his 'friend' was cheating.
